In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Raleigh; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in North Carolina are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 10 am–7 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. My favorite local grocery and eatery for East Asian cuisine and products. Very affordable and cute dishware as well. They have a fresh seafood market in the back, so if you don’t do well with strong scents I would visit H-Mart instead in order to be respectful. It’s not bad, but could see new patrons being unsure of that if they aren’t culturally aware. Best place to get good boba tea in the triangle. They only have 3 kinds so not the spot for fancy flavors, but definitely the spot for authentic stuff. Everything at the bakery is awesome, and steam buns are big and affordable and great for a quick lunch. If you have time to get food from the restaurant I highly recommend the eggplant. It’s my number one favorite thing they make. If you’re visiting the triangle, this is a place I would encourage you to stop at. It’s one of my staples for sure.

Overall, this supermarket is very good. The prices are affordable, the selection is great, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I have had a positive shopping experience here, and I appreciate the quality and value they provide. The only area that could be improved is the cleanliness of the restroom area. It did not seem as clean as the rest of the store. With a little more attention to this, the shopping experience would be even better. Thank you for your hard work and service. From Siqiong Yang

Really big portions from their small restaurant! Look at the chicken and mushroom bun and the scallion pancake. The scallion pancake was only 99Β’!!! I got the sesame chicken which has parts that were crispy and other nice and tender I can't wait to try their donut sesame ball; you get your money's worth when you get your stuff. Definitely adding it to my trip every time I come to Raleigh from now on!! I also got some chilli oil for 2$, and some other items that are normally very expensive!

Worst Asian grocery in the Triangle. Overpriced and the customer service is atrocious. Disgusting conditions and the parking situation is horrendous. I don’t know why I keep coming back. I think I’m just hoping they surprise me with some sort of improvement. Nope, it gets worse each time and the employees hate the customers more each time. I’m praying that they go out of business. I’m writing this from the parking lot after another disappointing trip of overpriced, low quality shopping. Check out Fresh International Market in Morrisville. I’ve already converted over a lot of friends. Grand Asia and the people working here can all GTH.
